Omapodi, Plain sev, Indian’s spicy evening tea time snack, especially prepared on Diwali & all festivals . It’s a all time favorite snack from younger to elder persons too. Just 5 minutes is needed to prepare this tasty snack.It is prepared using besan flour mixed with Spices, it is used in Chat items Bhel poori, Bhel puri,Dhahi Poori,Dhahi puri,Sev mamra,Panipuri,Pani poori.







If you taste it with cup of coffee/tea you will love it very much. Kids special recipe.

Prep Time:  10 minutes   |  Cook time: 5 minutes    |  Yield : ¼ Kg

BESAN FLOUR – 1 CUP
RICE FLOUR – 2 TBLSPN
RED CHILLI POWDER – 1 TSPN
TURMERIC POWDER – ¼ TSPN
ASAFOEDITA – ¼ TSPN
AJWAIN POWDER – ¼ TSPN (OPTIONAL)
SALT – TO TASTE
OIL – ¼ LT

TO GRANISH

CURRY LEAVES – FEW
         





METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1. Mix besan flour and rice flour sieve it.

2.Take a bowl add the flour then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoedita, salt and ajwain powder mix it add water and mix it as dove

3. Take a pan heat oil, in hot oil squeeze the omapodi and fry it ( bubbles in the oil will be higher when you drop the omapodi into it, once it is cooked there will be no bubbles when you mix it you will hear the crispness sound)

  • Add roasted ajwain powder it helps in digestion
