As per the name it is mix of larger variety of exotic ingredients such as peanuts, besan flour sev, besan flour boondhi, chickpeas, flaked rice, fried lentils, cassava and fried curry leaves, Murkku, White rocky candies and so on. It is known by different names in different places such as Mixture, Bombay Mixture, kacang putih, Gujarathi mix, Punjabi Mix, Dalmoth and so on.
It is a standalone snack loved by kids as well as elder persons too. It can be prepared and stored in airtight container and use it as daily tea time snack. It is a spicy, crispy and tasty snack

OMAPODI
BESAN FLOUR – 1 CUP
RICE FLOUR – 2 TBLSPN
RED CHILLI POWDER – 1 TSPN
TURMERIC POWDER – ¼ TSPN
ASAFOEDITA – ¼ TSPN
AJWAIN POWDER – ¼ TSPN (OPTIONAL)
SALT – TO TASTE
KARA BOONDHI
BESAN FLOUR – 1 CUP
RICE FLOUR – 2 TBLSPN
RED CHILLI POWDER – 1 TSPN
TURMERIC POWDER – ¼ TSPN
ASAFOEDITA – ¼ TSPN
COOKING SODA – 3 PINCH
SALT – TO TASTE
OTHERS
CURRY LEAVES – 1 CUP
PEANUT – 1 CUP
RICE FLAKES – 1 CUP
FIRED GRAM – 1 CUP
DIAMOND ROCK CANDY | VETTU KALKANDU – ½ CUP
CASHEWS – ¼ CUP (OPTIONAL)

METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Omapodi
1. Mix besan flour and rice flour sieve it, then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoedita, salt and ajwain powder mix it add water and mix it as dove
2. Take a pan heat oil, in hot oil squeeze the omapodi and fry it ( bubbles in the oil will be higher when you drop the omapodi into it once it is cooked there will be no bubbles when you mix it you will hear the crispness sound)
Kara Boondhi
1. Mix besan flour and rice flour sieve it, then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoedita, salt and cooking soda mix it add water and mix it as dropping consistency as below
2. Take a pan heat oil, in hot oil drop one big spoon of batter to the boondhi ladle that will drop boodhi’s into the hot oil and fry it (bubbles in the oil will be higher when you drop the boondhi’s into it once it is cooked there will be no bubbles when you mix it you will hear the crispness sound). Boondhi ladle will automatically drop the boondhi if it didn't drop just tap it with a spoon only once. Cook it 3 three portions after the first portion wash ant boondhi ladle and clean it with the wet cloth. see to that there is no oil in the ladle before adding the batter to it.
